To Do or not... To Do - The Updo Trial Run Trough.

People often ask me, do I have to do an Updo run through?
Well the answer to that is No, But you should!!
Is the trial Updo a "should do?" ABSOLUTELY.

Its not a rare occasion for a bride to realize that the look she always dreamed of just isn't fitting for her dress, or personal look.  {Wouldn't you rather find this out a week or two before the wedding, and the not the morning/afternoon of...?}

Just a few of the many benefits of having a run through:
You get to talk to and help your stylist get to know you and your specific desires better.
You get to see how the style looks on you!
You can change your mind! {Yes! Yes you can!!}
You get to try out your wedding accessories. {Don't know if you want flowers? Diamonds? Tiara? This is the time to try them out!}

A run through is the place to be honest and forthcoming with your thoughts.  If I've done the front of your hair and you don't like it, Let me know and we will change it before we start to do the back.  There's no right or wrong, it's your day and we are practicing to ensure everything is perfect.

Tips for your trial run:
  1. Wear a white shirt {You can't wear your dress, so where the next best thing, a white/ivory shirt}
  2. Bring your veil and any bridal hair jewelry if you already have them
  3. Bring Pictures!!! multiple pictures are fine- if you cant decide I'll help you!
  4. Have clean dry hair {It's best to wash and dry the night before, do not flat iron}
  5. Bring a friend who knows you and can say "That's so you!" or "That's so not you" honestly.
  6. Bring your Camera!!!!

But, you don't have to have this trial, that's why it is often offered as a separate service.  In Fact some brides just don't have time for a run through.  And if you are lucky enough to already know your hairstylist well, you might just feel like you don't need it, and neither does your stylist.  But have that conversation.

FYI: If your stylist does your cut and color, it doesn't mean she knows how it holds a curl and you might need that practice!
I think these women passed on the trial Updo:
